Citi AAdvantage Executive 75,000 miles signup offer still available!

The 75,000 AAdvantage miles signup offer for the Citi AAdvantage Executive card was supposed to have expired as of October 26, 2015. However, via ChetHazelEyes on reddit, the old application link for the 75,000 miles offer still works.

As a reminder, the minimum spending on this card is $7,500 within 3 months to get the bonus. The annual fee is $450, but if you cancel within 45 days or so, you can get the annual fee refunded. The miles won’t be clawed back as long as they have posted to your AAdvantage account. Chase Reconsideration by Secure Message does work!

About a month ago, I applied for the Marriott Rewards credit card due to some new targeted offers that came out. I went through phone reconsideration, then I sent a reconsideration message through Chase secure messaging, and was approved. I’ll describe the process I went through. This is not a guaranteed method to get approved for cards from Chase, but I believe it does give you a better chance. Continue reading →

$300 bonus for Amex Blue Cash Everyday!!

Via my mother (I have trained her well 😛 ), Costco Amex holders may be eligible for a $300 sign up bonus on the Amex Blue Cash Everyday (see Doctor of Credit’s review of it and a publicly accessible $250 offer here) card. As far as I know, there’s no offer code, but you do have to call in and go through the phone bill-pay flow (you will get redirected to an agent because they are trying to convert customers; note also that they may give you a lesser offer but as with all things, just HUCA). I tried numerous times to see if there were product change offers available over online chat and the reps came up with nothing, but if anyone has success, let us know in the comments. Targeted Spending Offer for Barclaycard Sallie Mae Mastercard Holders

Received this in my email today! I’m a huge fan of my Barclaycard Sallie Mae Mastercard thanks to the 5% cashback on grocery stores (up to $250 per month), 5% cashback on gas (up to $250 per month), and 5% cashback on bookstores, including Amazon.com (up to $750 per month). And of course the standard 1% cashback on everything else. I always recommend this card to my friends and family who aren’t really looking to play the travel hacking game but just want to earn the maximum cashback on the most common everyday spending categories. Increased bonuses on the Chase Ink Cash and Ink Plus Cards

Update on referral links, 9/22: I’m no longer able to generate referral links for the Ink Plus on Chase Refer A Friend. It’s possible those who are able to may see the increased bonus.

Increased signup bonuses are now available for the Chase Ink Cash and Ink Plus cards. The offers are:

Chase Ink Cash

Various new Marriott Targeted offers available!

New targeted Marriott offers are now available from Chase! The various offers are:

  1. 70,000 points + 7,500 points for adding an authorized user, with minimum spending of $3000 in 3 months. The first year annual fee is waived on this offer. This offer is available for Marriott Gold members and higher.
  2. 40,000 points + $150 statement credit after your first purchase, with minimum spending of $2000 in 3 months. Like the first version, the first year annual fee is waived on this offer. This offer is available after making a dummy booking.

In order to get these offers, you need login your account and go here. If you are a Marriott Gold (or higher) member, then you’ll see Version 1. If not, you’ll see the standard offer of 50,000 points after spending $3000 in 3 months. As Daniel reported, the second offer is available if you go through the booking flow on Marriott’s website. Intriguing Marriott Premier offer

Update (9/19): Reddit is reporting three versions of the offer (targeted) depending on your Marriott status.

I was poking around last night at some Marriott hotels for a January trip to New Orleans (specifically, for a hotel I could BRG), and I stumbled upon the following Marriott Premier credit card offer during the booking flow:

Reward yourself with a $150 statement credit

  • $150 statement credit after your first purchase,* including a Marriott®reservation or anything else. It will appear on your statement within 6-8 weeks. Price for stay and statement credit may post on separate statements.
  • Plus 40,000 bonus points after you spend $2,000 on purchases in your first 3 months.*

Although you could go through the flow and collect the link yourself, it doesn’t seem to be unique so you can access the offer directly here. Continue reading →

Consider the Lobster: Huge value from Orbitz Rewards Dining on your first dine

Just to get it out of the way: I promise that I’m not in any way compensated by Orbitz. I just think their program offers huge value and is a fairly easy entry into travel hacking. In about 10 months, I’ve managed to rack up about $1,000 in Orbucks (their rewards currency) as well as their Platinum status, which actually provides tangible benefits in two checked bag reimbursements (well, back in Orbucks) as well as a TSA Precheck voucher code. It only requires 12 nights (not stays!), and Orbucks-paid stays count towards that requirement, so it’s fairly easy to reach. Continue reading →
